I’m trying to use my Korg as a midi controller to take advantage of all the great sounds in logic 10.7. I have a duet interface - and a midi in and out cord- usb. But what do I do. Nothing has worked so far. Are there settings on the Korg I need to know about? Appreciate any help.

The Pa1000/700 sends all midi messages as described in the midi implementation chart you will find at the end of the manual.
There is also a description of how to connect the arranger to other midi devices, how to install a USB midi driver and how to configure the midi channels. Functional groups (Lower, Upper1 - 3 and tracks of the player) send their messages via midi-out channels, if the midi types are not blocked by the midi filter.

As soon as sounds or player tracks are assigned to a MIDI OUT channel, data will be sent to the MIDI OUT and USB ports. You can send notes and various MIDI messages from the keyboard and its controllers to Midi-Out.

Of course, you are limited to note events and the existing control elements (XY-stick, assignable switches, program change, footswitch), because the Pa1000 lacks the extensive control elements required for a full-fledged midi controller.
