|
|
Hi everyone!
A question (couldn't really find anything definitive on the forum) - can I have the mode wheel control only one function that is not mode depth? e.g. control only the shape of a waveform, or control only the amount of repeats on the delay? |

Hi,
Looking at your other post, I guess the question is about an XL+.
You can disable the standard behaviour of the mod wheel (vibrato) by setting the vibrato intensity to 0.
Further the mod wheel can be set up as source for the virtual patches.
The destination of the virtual patches do NOT include waveform shape or feedback of the delay (= repeats)
Changing the PCM sample of the DWGS waveform is possible by routing the mod wheel to OSC1 CTTL2 (if I'm not mistaken). But it is a bit a very rough control.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

Hi OpAmp, thanks for the reply.
Yeah I was referring to the XL+. I can't find the vibrato intensity you mentioned, where is located?
Edit - found it. |

Hi,
What I forgot to mention. The number of repeats in the delay can not be controlled via the mod wheel as mentioned in my previous reply.
But it can be controlled via the 3 parameter knobs.
In the delay effect you can typically assign the feedback parameter as CTRL-1 or CTRL2 of the effect. Then you can assign FX1/2 Ctrl1/2 to one of the 3 knobs that can be used when the parameter matrix is set to assign mode.
FX1 Ctrl1 is also by default mapped on knob 3 when the matrix is set into effect mode.
