As always, Qui, thanks for sharing and your general benevolence.

I've been thinking of diving deeper into the Wavestate (either hardware or native) and programming my own sounds on it.

So these are ideal resources at just the right time for me. Smile

Thanks for these tutorials.

I see you are having the same issues with the End Step and Loop End knobs not working (at approx 6:12 in the first video). Sometimes they don't work and you have to try to move that tiny red corner icon to adjust the lengths instead, which is frustratingly small and difficult sometimes. Obviously this is a bug, hope it gets fixed.

yes, this was a bug in the first version of the wavestate native. But these gui bugs are solved now in the latest version, so when i recorded the video this was a small problem, but now it works as it supposed to do.

I recorded a new tutorial for the wavestate native.

In this video I will show you how to setup your wavestate native for use with a midi controller in Ableton Live. The first part shows how to setup 16 midi controls, the second part extends that to 64 midi controls.

Topics:
00:00 midi controller demo
00:16 introduction
01:32 setup ableton for midi control
03:20 default midi control behavior wavestate native
04:42 configure wavestate native for custom midi control (16 knobs)
08:25 save as default configuration
09:37 how to add 64 midi controls (if your controller supports it)
12:41 use the step sequencer to test the midi control settings
13:54 demo midi controller
15:53 outro

Here's a new sound design tutorial for the Wavestate native.

In this third episode of the sound design series I will show you how to create the Tangerine Dream - Love On A Real Train sequence based on the basic knowledge we learned in the previous Wavestate native tutorials.

In this episode we are going to create the iconic train sequence, the electric piano, the pad sound and a hi-hat drum track in one performance.

Topics:
00:00 sound demo
00:48 introduction
01:20 layer A: train sequence
06:33 layer B: electric piano
09:20 layer C: pad sound
11:22 layer D: drum rythm train
12:29 setup hold mode and keyboard zones
16:18 setup volume levels and EQ
18:10 song demo
19:31 outro
