If your I3 powers up and there is no sound, chances are uou have a defective capacitor at location. C40. This is a common issue with this older vintage of synth. The electrolyte leaks onto the circuit board causing issues.
Replacing worn leaking caps and replacing the very important capacitor # C40 ( 47 mf 16V ) solved the power on mute issue. It might look perfectly fine but change it with a similar value or larger voltage type. I think I may have used 47Mf 25V.
This capacitor is located close to the battery .
Hope this helps you. _________________ Kronos 2 88
