Hi,

The Windows version of the Monologue Firmware (System) updater works in WINE.

I couldn't get it to work but after a frustrating and unproductive week or so of emails with KORG UK I gave it another go and...

It worked!

You just need to ignore the warning about needing the KORG USB-MIDI driver and change a few settings in the Options box.

I did a little video showing how it's done but really there's not much more to it than the above.

I think it would be helpful if KORG mentioned on their website that this updater works in WINE, with relevant disclaimers ('KORG doesn't support LINUX, this is for information only', 'User's own liability' etc.)

Hey there! It's great to hear that you were able to update your Korg Monologue firmware in Linux using WINE. It can be frustrating when things don't work as expected, but it's always satisfying when you finally figure it out. Thanks for sharing your experience and the tip about ignoring the warning and changing some settings in the Options box. By the way, have you considered trying CentOS 7 Extended Lifecycle Support? It's a popular choice for industrial use and may be worth checking out.
