|
|
I'm still getting to grips with my new EK50 and one aspect of the keyboard sets/voices is making my brain hurt. The default keyboard set 001 is GrandPiano. Is it possible to make that ClassPiano (002) instead?
Ideally I'd like to change some of the other default keyboard set voices to voices that I prefer, but if that's not possible, what is the easiest/best way to set up so that I can instantly access a preferred voice which isn't one of the defaults? Do I just save each preferred voice as a set list?
It just seems weird to me that as far as I know, in order to hear an alternative voice and then play using it, you have to do the business with the part mute/sound select buttons, but if I'm missing something obvious here, I won't be surprised to know that ... |

BANK A1 is the default startup keyboard set. So set the Style, tempo and keyboard Set to your preference and save it to A1. (make sure bank is set to A then hold Bank and press 1 it should flash.)
When you start the keyboard this will be your default.
You have 40 set lists available A-J 1-4 These set lists hold EVERY setting being used on the keyboard.
Yes, just save each preferred voice as a set list. You can however modify these even more. Pick a set list say 005. If you hold down the SHIFT key and then each PART key 1-4 it will say what voice is being used for each. At this stage you can change to any of the 800 or so voices for that part, lock it in by pressing SHIFT again which will stop the display flashing. You can also change the volume for that part by holding the part 1-4 and turning the dial.
Don't forget to save it to a Bank set list.
