Hello Everyone,

So my friend bought a set from someone we loaded the set, and it works fine. But the issue we’re having, is that he also wants to use his old set he already had and load that onto to the direct. I’m sure we are loading it correctly, since we’ve watched many videos and even asked the guy that he bought the set from, if he can help.

What I did, was go to “Media then browse, then direct and selected the set I want.”

After that, when we try to play the styles in the direct folder, it won’t play the styles correctly. I believe the sounds work, but not the styles. Instead of drums, it’s using piano and so on for the styles.

Is it because they’re two different sets? He wants to be able to use two different sets at the same time. Other wise, there is no point in the direct folder correct?

Any help is appreciated! I also emailed Korg, and still waiting for a response.

Thank you!

Hi

Please be aware that the "SET" you select for DIRECT will only use its Keyboard Sets, Styles, Pads, Voice Presets,
SongBook Entries and Set Lists from that SET - NOT SOUNDS.

Both SETs will only use the internally accessible SOUNDs (FACTORY, FAVORITE & USER).
If the SOUNDs were different on the PA4X where the "bought" SET was created, then you will very likely get the results you are talking about.

Correct as long as you understand the DIRECT data definition:-
    Direct Data
Direct data are additional Keyboard Sets, Styles, Pads, Voice Presets,
    SongBook Entries and Set Lists
, residing in a storage device like the internal
drive or a removable USB drive. They can be considered as an extension of
    the internal memory.

Direct Keyboard Sets, Styles, Pads and Voice Presets are immediately accessed
when pressing the USER/DIRECT button in the STYLE or KEYBOARD
SET LIBRARY area, or by selecting the Direct type of data while in the relevant
    Select window.

Direct SongBook Entries and Set Lists are automatically mixed with the internal
Entries and Set Lists, making a more extensive database.
You can choose any standard SET folder as the Direct folder.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Ahhh I see, yeah I figured it only uses sounds from the user set. I appreciate your help.
