Hello,
1. If I go to a style and I want to play a song in a certain key, I push transpose and do the song; however, if I then go to another style, the transposition remains the same, so I have to adjust the transposition again. Is this different for the PA4X? Shouldn't it go back to "0"? I thought the PA3X went back to "0" when choosing a new style.

2. When editing a style to put into Songbook, the transposition is not saved. I've studied the manual and can't figure out why it's not being saved. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your help.

Mike

Firstly, check the status of your GLOBAL locks
GLOBAL>>GENERAL CONTROLS>>MASTER TRANSPOSE
If this is locked, then your transpose will never change until you change it.
Decide what you want here as this is GLOBAL and will over-ride SONGBOOK entries/STYLES etc with regard to transpose.

From your comment above it would suggest that your MASTER TRANSPOSE is unlocked, hence it will change according to the SONGBOOK transpose setting.
Also, the transpose setting is not saved in each style.
This is sensible in my opinion because manually switching a style in the middle of a song always leaves the transpose unchanged

The short answer here is to always use SONGBOOK and not configure STYLES for specific songs
So, set up your PA4X for the song - everything - all volumes, panning, tempo, SOUNDS, transpose, VARiation, INTRO etc etc
All this will get stored in the SONGBOOK entry for that song.

This should definitely be saved

If you look at your saved song in SONGBOOK under the TAGS tab, you will see the transpose you have saved.
If this is not as you set it when you saved the entry then something else is wrong so please tell me exactly in detail how you put a song into SONGBOOK

Cheers
