Is there an "all notes off" command on the Nautilus? I have had a note getting hung when importing a sequence into the Nautilus, and cannot stop it. I have hit every button, changed modes, and nothing cuts the frozen note off, unless I change to a different sequence (which is NOT a good instant fix - especially if a hung note were to happen in a live situation!). I tried searching the manual for "All notes off", and it just gives MIDI implementation info, not a means for stopping all notes. Obviously, shutting the machine down, and re- booting isn't a fix either, since it takes so long to boot back up.
So, is there a way to stop a frozen note without just killing the volume slider, and changing to a different sequence? Surely a synth this complex has such a feature... |

The Compare button on the Kronos can do this, depending on the cause. It is worth trying to see if the Compare command on the Nautilus does the same thing. The Compare command should be accessible from the screen top right drop down.

In addition, most likely one of the quick access buttons should be able to be assigned the compare function for even easier access. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=807494

I actually reached out to Dan Stesco to see if he could answer this for me. He said he is not aware of any instant button to shut off MIDI notes, but he is going to ask the Korg development team.
I "repaired" the problem sequence on my DAW, then shipped it back over to the Nautilus, and now it is working fine every time. I am just the kind of guy who likes to know "What if...", so I am prepared to handle some issue that could come up at the worst time - like during a live performance. |
