So this brainless bovine knelt on my electribe, 2 Sampler, destroying the x/y pad. I opened up the unit and disconnected the x/y ribbon, put the unit back together and it worked, aside from no x/y pad.
It worked for about a day then it wouldn't power on at all.
I opened it again and everything looks fine... is there anything I can try to get it to power up one last time so I can get the pattern data off it?
There was "a lot" of stuff on it, the bulk of which is my latest project for a tv drama series score.
What can I do?

How about: "you break it, you buy it"?

I have another electribe Sampler... if I swap the motherboard from the broken one into the functional one will I be able to access the pattern data?

Yes, assuming the fault is not with the motherboard.

Were there batteries in it while it was working? Have you checked the solder joints of the power switch and DC jack port?
