|
|
The band I work with has been using a Krome 61 for the last 5 years or so. The LCD touchscreen is starting to have problems and the replacement part seems to be back ordered forever.
We are thinking of just replacing the keyboard but reprogramming is a huge task because it has loads of custom programs and combinations. Does anyone know if the newest model is compatible with the old in that the PCG data could be loaded from an SD card into the new one?
Thanks |

Taken from the Krome EX supplement to the user manual:
"The KROME EX can convert and load .PCG files and .SNG files (KROME format). When loading songs created on the KROME into the KROME EX, load both the .SNG file and the .PCG file that were created on the KROME."
The opposite is not the case i.e. the Krome cannot load Krome EX files.
It is likely that some adjustment to Programs and Combis may be necessary, but hopefully minor tweaks and not a huge task. It might be possible to take your SD card to a retailer and try out loading the .PCG files onto a Krome EX.
