Would be good for end users for the industry to define style standards - MIDI 3.0 perhaps?
And yes, you my ask what color is the sky in my world! _________________ bpoodoo

I use Translator to use Montage sounds in Kronos.
Plus the ethernet direct connection to send the samples. _________________ Kronos 2,Fantom 6,Moog One,Voyager,P12 and many more. |

I used the midi to styles converter..
Saved the yamaha style i wanted as a midi file (one intro, 4 variations, one ending) And then used the korg midi to styles converter with some great results.. _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

Dear sir,
Greetings from India,
Instead of converting the styles from Yamaha into Korg, I have a suggestion.
All you need to do is to take a copy of the style close to your expected style from an existing style and load it. after that go to the record option. Select variation 1. Now you see the style tracks opened on the screen. Tap on the drum track to select it. Go to the top right of the screen and hit on the drop-down menu and choose the delete track option to delete the current drum track.
Then on the drum track icon at the track select load your favourite drum track from factory or legacy or GM style kits and record your own drum track as per the song you are to play.
Once you hit on the style start button, the recording count starts and then you record the drum track and save it.
You can watch my Youtube video done on the entire process here at the below link.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sFzcRvUbXo
This way you will have decent styles that do not take internal memory of the keyboard as you are not loading any drum kits, yet you have new styles. Once you get expertise, you can change the other tracks like guitar, string pad elements in the style as per your need. Soon you will learn to create your own styles right from scratch. Yes, once variation 1 is done you continue to change the next variations similarly. However, each time you record a new variation, please see to save it.
There are other useful videos to check out on my channel. Especially on sound creation, and other important stuff.
Hope you have a wonderful time creating new styles for the entire community. _________________ I Love Music |

Actually, when you have yamaha styles witouth mega voices, you can just import them as midi files in the pa4x feature convert midi to style..
All you need to do is change the .sty suffix to .mid
And then use your pa4x to convert the midi file to a korg style.
Yamaha styles consist of base midi information..
But since korg does not have mega voices, you can not convert styles containing those... many do. Mega voices where created to prevent copying of styles in the first place..
One other tip, its better to post questions like this in the pa forums instead of in the news forum. _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

Thats definately news..
Seems Klaus the man producing and creating the styleworks emc software died recently..
The website is down, people reinstalling or installing it can no longer reach the website which is a requirement for every installation.
Seems the product belongs to the past..
So basically there is no converting software left, except on Wersi organs that have an option to convert yamaha and roland styles to the Wersi style format.
Another option might be the Varranger 2 software which plays all brands of styles, and if i am correct, allows to save all styles into the format you want, altough i would check that last statement as i am not entirely sure _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.
