Hello,

I am new here and this is my first contribution.

This is one of the pictures that can be seen on my youtube video on how to very easily turn the Korg Wavestate into a Korg Wavestate Module step by step within a couple of minutes using a hot knife

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riGPJF6Kmbk

And there is also the full textual description of the video

Quote:
- use a kitchen knife and put the blade in the fire until it is red hot
- make sure the handle stays cool, better use gloves for security
- look carefully at the pictures sequence and cut only with very hot knife
- do not cut deeper than a quarter 1/4" inch or five 5 millimeter
- there is no need to destroy the keyboard, can always sell as spare parts
- do not use darth vader force, may the red glowing knife saber be with you young korg walker
- make sure you do NOT unscrew any of the *module* bed screws on top & rear & at bottom, nada
- only unscrew the *keyboard* bed at the bottom as seen on picture
- and cut the keyboard placeholders carefully with hot knife as seen on picture
- carefully disconnect the wiring as seen on picture
- now you have the korg wavestate module that you all wanted so badly
- mine is working perfectly fine, i made some tracks with it on this youtube channel
- the open gap of the front you van leave open as when you snuggle up a keystep for example then the midi and cv/gate plugs nicely fit into the opening as seen on last picture
- happy wavestating!

Enjoy!

That has got to be the most insane way of doing this, a red hot knife for fucks sake!

Thanks a lot for the tip (of the knife).
gutsy move!
I wonder if you take the front metal plate out can't you simply switch the enclosure to something homemade ?

P.S.
BTW does this void the warranty?

P.P.S.
Just kidding of course, I know it does not void the warranty at all.
