Hi All,

Happy new owner here. Came from the Kronos but did not use all qualities.

I had the 61 synth keybed so I combined it with a Studio Logic SL73 as a piano keyboard. Which was a huge step up for the piano sounds. The piano sounded much more natural with a real hammeraction keyboard.

When switching to the Grandstage, it took me some time to find the right velocity curve for my way of playing. Went from 4(default) to 9(wide), but my sound was still to dull, no highs at all. When changing the velocity curve I found the right balance for me is 5. And some times I use the dynamics knob to adjust a little. This will be different for everybody I suppose.

The Grandstage has high quality piano sounds which sound even richer than I got from the Kronos where they are originate from.

An other favorite of mine is the positive organ (201, in the update 2.0 list). This organ sounds large with lots of ambiance.

But here my question:

I have a vfp-3 pedal unit with three pedals. I' ve connected them to the three connectors on the back. Now I wanted to have a sostenuto pedal so I went in to the system seting and assigned cc66 to the middle pedal. This is a switched pedal and is connected to the switch connector on the back. I did calibrate the switch.

But the GS does not respond to pressing of the switch. It does not sustain the played key(s),

Does anyone has some experience with the pedals on the GS please let me know,

Thanks,

Ben
