Hello,

I am trying to make a pgm change from ableton.

In the esx I have the midi utility set everything to 'O' at 'PCEN'.

But,does anyone know what numbers exactly to enter in Ableton -> note box -> pgm change -> Bank / Sub / Pgm?
Or does anyone have an example of such a 'code'?

I also wondered on which channel messages such as pgm change and sync are sent and where I can set this specific channel?

I only know that you can assign parts to a midi channel via the 'global menu', but not for general things like syncing and program changing.

Thanks for the help!

Hello.. What interface are you using for MIDI? Without testing, I think you should Ctrl+comma in Ableton (command+comma for Mac) to enter preferences. Go to "link MIDI" tab and turn on Track Sync and Remote for your device output.

Also, for clips, program changes are in the sequencer window under "Notes". I would drag an External Instrument device to a MIDI track and try to implement Pchanges from there.

I'm only telling you this from memory and my knowledge of Live, without having done it. I hope it helps.

Thanks 4 response!

I'm using a tascam us 16x08 interface..

Are U sure about to turn 'Remote' on?

And yes: I'm using External Instruments, but I don't know what numbers I have to choose in the Note box for Bank, Sub, Pgm?

Does anyone have an example please?
