I've had my MicroKorg XL+ for several years. It works fine, running its own sounds from its own keyboard.

I want to use it to control VST synths. I have an M-Audio "Uno" MIDI-to-USB adapter. I've used that for years, to run Pianoteq on my PC from my Casio PX-350 DP -- no problems at all.

When I connect the MicroKorg XL+ "MIDI Out" to the M-Audio Uno, and connect the M-Audio Uno to a USB port on my computer,
. . . and set Pianoteq (or PG-8P) to listen to the M-Audio Uno:

. . . Some "Note Off" events are missing in the MIDI data stream,
. . . . . and those notes just keep playing.

When I connect the "Uno" to my PX-350 "MIDI Out" jack, everything works fine.

So the problem isn't with the PC, or the VST, or the "Uno":

. . . something is screwy with the microKorg XL+.

Has anyone had this problem?

Is there a fix?

Thanks --

. Charles

OOPS --

I had this problem six years ago (!!!!), and found the "fix" -- partial, but it's good enough. I posted it here, too . . . .
