Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well.

I'd like to know if the Kronos can do pretty much everything the MS2000 does. Because I have to opportunity to buy one but I'm not sure if it's a waiste of $$, since I have the Kronos.

Cheers!

Am not quite sure how they compare. But I've read that Kronos' virtual analogue synth AL-1 seems pretty well in what it can do.

So, sorry am not a real help...

Sure, the Kronos can do all the MS2000 does and a lot more. Spend some time exploring with the MS-20 engine and then the AL-1. Or if you don't feel at ease with those yet, start with the Polysix engine. The only limits are your imagination. Cool

That MS2000 only has 4 voices. The Kronos has almost all of the DWGS waves that the MS2000 has, if that's what you're looking for.

Honestly, the AL1 synth is much better than most any hardware VA synth out there. The variety of oscillator and filter options is hard to beat.

I checked out this video and replicated everything the person did with the Kronos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN_JB6e5R3Q
It appears that yes, the Kronos can do just about everything the MS2000 can. There is just a difference between which oscillator is the cross mod carrier. I used to think that was significant but now I'm not so sure. I would have to test to see if each routing can mimic the other. Technically speaking, it doesn't matter what kind of waveform is used as the sync master. So it shouldn't matter whether the sync master is getting mangled by cross mod or not.

The sync and FM (crossmod) in the AL1 is a lot of fun. Good variety of tones.

I stumbled on Jarre's famous laser harp sound. Set both oscillators to pulse 50, with first one at 32' and second one at 4' with sync on and FM at 12.

Then go to pitch mod and put oscillator 2 pitch to EG3 intensity 3. Change EG3 break and sustain to zero.

Very Happy

Very good patches, and wonderful playing. I am interesting for this patches, is it possible to use it on Kronos X? I wish you all best.
