Goa?
What does Goa mean? I see it used lots in the naming of stuff on the Triton Extreme and in a few places on the Kronos.
e.g.
Goa Abduction
Funky Goa
She's a GOA!
Goa Lover
Goa Message
Goa Drums
Goa Trance
Or is this one of those 'don't ask don't tell' kind of things? _________________ bpoodoo

Goa is an area in India that became associated with beach raves and a particular style of trance music. The name is now tagged onto sounds that are associated with that "Goa Trance" sound.

Ah OK yes Goa, India was the top google search. I thought India was too conservative to host rave parties. But, get enough out-of-towners, $$$, etc., I can see it. It was either that or Gun Owners of America. _________________ bpoodoo

Hehehe I can imagine the patches constructed by gun enthusiasts. There would be some explosive sounds for sure! They'd work well for percussion though. Ricochets would be a nice one to attempt, coupled with a canyon reverb.

Back in the 90's the sunrise beach parties in Goa were the bees knees.
I still love Goa music to this day.
I listen to it to fall asleep, if you can believe.
My housemates think I'm crazy |
