|
|
Goal: ensure Kaossilator/microKorg combo is "line level" for studio stereo interface (Focusrite Scarlett).
I'm running my microKORG through my Kaossilator Pro, and am looking at making sure everything is line level for my studio interface. I found in the microKORG manual that it's L/R output max is +6 dBu. So it's line level and good to go. But I can't find anything on the output max for the Kaossilator. Does anyone know if that's line level?
Thanks for any pointers you guys can offer. |

Hi,
As the LINE OUT L+R of the Kaoss are intended to be connected to Line inputs of a mixer, they are line levels.
You can always reduce the volume of the Kaoss or reduce the gain input of the Focusrite in case you go into red.

The Kaossilator Pro outputs are specified as Line Level, without giving details of whether the maximum is +4dBu or -10dBV. The likelihood is that it will be the professional +4dBu, since that is the case for pretty much all of Korg audio gear. It will work with the Focusrite. Don't worry.
