Hey All,

Recently purchased a PA1000, which I am loving. Trying to record songs from scratch (not using Styles) in "Sequencer" & choosing my own instruments, etc.

Is it my imagination or are not all instrument options under "Sound" available under "Sequencer"?

Under "Sound" I picked my favs, say, guitars, then went into Sequencer to record and could not find the same options. I did looked under "Factory", etc. (whatever those other options are).

Am I missing something? (setting?, button?)

Much thanks!

I think its like this. All sampled instruments are accessable but some "sounds" are instruments modifed by amp simulations, effects or layered with other sounds. You would need to recontruct the sound according to the "sound" you like. One option might be to copy the sound (along with its settings) to a User sound slot and use that in Sequencer mode.

Ah, that would make sense.
Ok, I can play with that.

Thanks Reuben, I really appreciate your response.

How come background music can't be turned on in sequencer mode. How would i record a song from scratch but have the background style available. Hope someone catches my drift.

You can use quick record with style parts, save it and edit it (after going into full sequencer record). So maybe you just want the bass and Dums then edit out or mute the other tracks. You can then record additional tracks. But you need to start with the style, you cant (to my knowledge) add style parts to an existing sequenced midi recording.
