I'm trying to upload Wav files to the keyboard in media mode via usb. When the audio files appear, it says play using "sampling start", which I do. Unfortunately, the track only plays a brief brief snippet 20 seconds or so, and the error message appears (Sampling from HDD Buffer overrun error). Does anyone know what this is/how to get around it? I'd be very happy to hear the entire wav file through Triton and edit it in Edit Wav.
Also, an additional error I'm encountering is in attempting to load certain files in media mode with the error code "Illegal SMF". i know this is standard midi file, but I don't know why what I saved previously has to correspond to that format, and why for years I never experienced this.
Thanks for any help here.
JF

I get the Buffer overrun error when trying to write a WAV file from sequence playback to USB flash drive. I do not get the error when writing to Compact Flash (CF). The Triton Extreme data transfer speed for media in general is slow. CF is faster than USB, regardless of the Class of the flash drive. I use USB flash drive for backup and for saving and loading sequences and MIDI files. But for anything dealing with WAV files, I use CF. As for the Illegal SMF error, the Triton is assuming you are trying to load a MIDI file, either in SONG mode or SEQ mode. SONG mode can be picky about MIDI format. Try loading in SEQ mode and if it works, save it as a new MIDI file.

thanks bpoodoo
overall good suggestions. the midi files don't have as good a quality as the WAV in media mode. just an observation.
but for all intents and purposes, I can use the triton as a backup on my gigs. take it easy, JF
