Korg M1 has a good power supply. All Capacitors on KLM 1268 have low ESR and others changed. Swapped it into another unit = perfect sound.

The other M1 when powered up to it has distortion on all sounds.

When joystick is plugged in, the battery error message reads.
Battery is new with v = 3.6!

When joystick unplugged, error gone.

Sound issue does not vary.

Where is this phantom? A/D ?

Your thought to hunt down and diagnose. Resistor or Cap issue on mother board or elsewhere?

Your thoughts
