Hi,
Will the chord sequencer only play in the original key it was recorded in or can I make it play in the key I am playing in
Thanks. Rob _________________ PA1xpro/Korg O1w fd/pa4x76 Roland rd800 pk5 bass pedals and numerous useless amps mixers and othe bits of junk from the past |

You can transpose but that will transpose the whole keyboard.
I don't believe that what you are wanting is possible on the PA4X.
Cheers

It’s not a bad idea, though... maybe add it to the wishlist? Perhaps as a field in the Songbook (Transpose CS) for maximum flexibility.
This way, you’d only need one CS for say blues 12 bar in any key (that you want to play in) and simply transpose the CS. Playing blues in the same key all the time (which the current system would make you do) tends to end up playing the same licks all the time.
Plus playing standard changes and exercises in multiple keys is good practice, and this idea would save you having to redo the CS each time. |

First Korg should give us an option to save CS into SongBook. _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison |

Thought we could? Or do you mean as a separate entity? |

Yes, you can save CS into SONGBOOK - done it many times.
Even if you want it as a separate entity you can copy any CS into a STYLE - so it is completely flexible

Hi
Not as easy as a dedicated button in 'Chord Sequence Edit' but as a workaround:
In Style Play Mode -> Contextual Menu -> Chord Sequence Edit -> SMF EXPORT -> OK -> A_Song_Name
In Sequencer Mode -> Load Song : A_Song_Name -> Menu -> Song Edit -> Transpose -> All Tracks -> Include Chords selected ->
Then for every X desired transpose value -> Value = X -> Execute -> Save Song : A_Song_Name_X
In Style Play Mode -> Contextual Menu -> Chord Sequence Edit -> SMF IMPORT USE CHORDS -> SELECT -> A_Song_Name_X ->
Give 'From Measure' and 'To Measure' -> Ok (Be aware increment by one 'From Measure' and 'To Measure' because PA add a blank measure in the song). _________________ Korg PA4X 76. Korg PA700. Yamaha DGX-670 |
