So, I was able to buy a used RODE NT1 from a friend. I've never used a condenser mic for anything before and then I realized that there is not setting I could find on the KRONOS to use phantom power.

Is this possible or do I have to buy a preamp? Thanks

Hi, the Rode NT1 needs a +48V phantom power.
The Kronos does not deliver phantom power. So, you have to get an external power for your Mic before plugging into the Kronos ana analog input.

I was able to get a Studio Projects VTB1 V Series

But I don't think I have the correct power source yet.

I hope that will be able to help.

Yes it provides a +48V phantom power. But make a good output level setting for the Kronos analog entry in order to avoid clipping.
Also, I recommend you to use a balanced jack-jack wire or XLR-Jack wire between VTB1 and Kronos analog entry.
