Hi,
If you have an older kronos that have no k2 New soundpack but u have the latest firmware
I guess you can still arrange sounds to the New k2 order.
If So, what sounds do play on those slots that should have the New sounds? Nothing as samples are missing?

Yes, you can arrange the factory programs of your older kronos to the new k2 order. You can download the Voice Name Lists here:
K1: https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/84/
K2: https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/424/

It is nice all older programs have all been included with the new k2, although shifted around. As we know, this makes room for the New programs, which now exist in the first 2 banks INT-A and INT-B. However, unless you have:
1. KRS-07.pcg from New Soundpack, or
2. PRELOAD.pcg from a k2
then not only are the new k2 samples missing, but also the two new banks of programs, a new bank of combis, and some new wave sequences. As we know, an older kronos updated to the latest OS or firmware installs new features, but does not include the new programs provided in these files AFAIK.

Of course, you can always store older programs there.
But, if somehow you do just have one of the files mentioned above, then... uh, you should have the samples, right?

It's worth bearing in mind that on the Korg Shop, several Korg expansion libraries have separate downloads for the new Kronos (K2) and for the Kronos/KronosX. For example, EXs10,11,12,13. The two downloads for each EXs are based on different Program locations in the two Kronos model types.
