I'm waiting for the Yellow Edition. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Well, that explains what was in those Instagram pics, during NAMM. It's a good option for those who were looking to get the SE, but couldn't. This also has the Italian Grand.

Other than the IG, I thought a product specialist at NAMM hinted at an additional Exs in the Titanium. Nothing mentioned at the Korg site.

I think this color is attractive. If I needed a new Kronos, this would my pref.

After 9 years, I see Kronos as being a lifetime keyboard.

that is unfortunate. Plus it wouldn't surprise me that this limited edition sells out sometime this year.

The SE from 2019 was limited in production. By summer it was sketchy to find any SE key size model, from traditional retail, from my recollection.

Obviously this means no successor to the Kronos 2 soon. No MIDI 2.0 either.

I think its 60/40 that there will not be a Kronos 3.

Nothing to wish or wait for this year. Getting into 2021, I suspect the same, no Kronos 3 or whatever it would be called.

while Kronos has short comings its still a formidable music production keyboard.

In a way, Kurzweil has a similar w/s approach, and their approach is 20 yrs old.

If we examine the Korg new product line up, past 3 yrs, that tells me what Korg priorities are.

Have no inside source. Just opinion.

I would disagree, there is a lot to be improved and added upon, like:

1) Faster boot times via new hardware (64 bit arch.), more than 2 core processing, etc

2) web integration, save or share your samples, songs, patches in the Cloud and online Kronos OS updates rather than USB, user login and Ex management

3) external monitor(s) support for larger touch screen/displays

4) WiFi storage access via FTP or Network drive sharing to transfer files

5) Larger built-in touch screen

Sure the above isn’t going to make the Kronos sound much better, but it would greatly improve on some of its short comings when navigating around and using it.

By the way, to all those that are requesting new colors of Kronos, please stop it. Smile

I guess my post wasn't clear.

most definitely, every year for the past 8 years there are 100's of posts asking for improvments. I have a long wish list. There is no shortage of folks asking. All valid and reasonable requests.

After some years, I accept what Kronos is. 60/40 translated is what I perceive as expectation setting. 60% unlikely is simply my guess work.

No one really knows other than Korg.

Point taken... Guess we all can add the following to our wish list:

"Koronos Virus Resistant"

Since this is going for the same price as a regular Kronos, I can only hope it will depress the sales on the regular model.

Perhaps, but not much... think most everyone would rather have the black model than this one, as its more universal and external chassis components, like from bumper and UI panel is more readily available for replacement.

the color has the nostalgia vibe. Triton and Trinity were similar.

Thats part of the attraction, us geezers like the decade of the 90's, and the turn of the century.
