Hi everyone
In this strange time when we are under a new world pressure I just wanted to say that I wish you all good health and safety through this weird time.
These forums are a "sub-world" in itself and I hope each and every one of you and your families break through this pandemic safely.
Take care, lots of vitamins and keep playing the music!!!!

Cheers, Pete. I was born during the Blitz in London. Got through that, and I'll bloody well get through this.
Be well, mate. _________________ When I nod my head . . . Hit it!

Thank You for your kind thoughts and word, Pete.
It's not just the sick who are going to suffer. The Events and Exhibition Industry here is gone. As of yesterday, my work was wiped out. Large music shows have been cancelled. The Travel industry will be next. I hate to think what has happened to those in the Retail Industry in the countries who have 'shut-down'. I hope a vaccine is ready for human use really soon, not only for the sake of those at high risk, like the elderly, but for the sake of all who are going to take a huge hit to their normal lives....
I hope everyone can stay safe and well during this time of adversity. _________________ Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here

Thanks for starting this thread Pete and also for your well wishes.
The sense of community and standing together is growing by the day and this forum also plays a part in that.
To quote from an old song:
"If you see your brother standing by the road with a heavy load....
"You've got to try a little kindness...."
The new world anthem. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/

Korg Forums is my virtual coffee shop. So thanks Pete and hope all is well your way as well. So far, Southern Arizona is relatively quiet. Been playing more music, golfing and watchin movies. A possible silver lining to all this is we may see some dramatic sales in instruments in the near future as businesses react to lower sales volumes. One can only wish. This cheered me up .....Posted by Mike recently on the Yamaha forum

Keith
Daily diary in isolation
May I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic to bring you my latest episode.......
Last night I went to the supermarket to buy a bag of food for my dogs.
Already in line, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog.
I stared at her (those who know me will imagine my gaze ????) ...but then why would I be buying dog food...right? ????
So on impulse I told her no, that I didn’t have a dog, that I was starting the dog food diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital the last time, but I did weigh 4 kilos less!
I told her that it was the perfect diet and that all you had to do is carry a few biscuits in your pocket and eat one or two every time you feel hungry (I have to mention that practically everyone in the queues was interested in my story).
Frightened, the woman asks me if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food had poisoned me. I answered...of course not!
I was admitted because I bent down to sniff the bum of a German Shepherd and I was hit by a lorry!!!!
I thought the man behind her was going to have a heart attack...he was laughing so hard!!!! |

Greetings from Ontario Canada. These are tough times indeed. Self-isolating or social distancing is easy for me. All those long hours developing KARMA-fied Combis for Karma Lab had me isolated in my studio for days, weeks, months.
Stay safe, stay healthy, help the world do the same....stay in and play with your keyboards and synths....Notice I didn't say "organ".
Best wishes and health to everyone! _________________ Cheers,

Those last two posts are inappropriate for these forums.
I would highly recommend the moderators prevent this thread from turning into a discussion of conspiracy theories. Politics, and political conspiracies, are not allowed here.
Thanks. _________________ Stephen Kay - KARMA Developer • Karma-Lab - karma-lab.com
