Hello friends,
I'm asking for your help.
My korg pa3x no longer boots.
If I turn on the only comes the korg logo otherwise nothing happens.
I also can't get into the BIOS menu because nothing works.
And I can't reset either.

One thing I know, the problem is with the mainboard, because I borrowed a mainboard from my friend that also has pa3x, then it works wonderfully.

I would be very happy which component I have to check and replace.
Soldering experience is available.

Please help me because I have no money to spend € 700 on the new mainboard.

I am grateful for any tips.

Kind regards
Leon

This sort of failure is beyond the expertise of most forum members.
There were a few failures of the internal USB disk in the early days so if this is causing it not to boot maybe swapping out the USB (which is hot glued in) and re-installing all resources might work. I removed mine by heating up a wire and melting the hot glue. I did this not because of failure but because I wanted a larger disk.
I have no idea if this is your problem and I am not recommending this procedure at all.

First of all thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately I don't know and I absolutely can't get any further.
I have so far replaced some components that were suspected but unfortunately unsuccessful.

If I could at least get into the BIOS, it would be easier but nothing happens.

Any small component is to blame but which ?????

I hope someone is familiar with this and helps me to solve the problem.
Wish you all a nice Christmas

ind regards

Take it to your local service centre.
Such problems need to be analysed and diagnosed by the professionals

Good luck

It could be the whole board but could also be the junction between the power supply and the main board but on the board side because another board worked. Check the pins of that connection both on the wire and on the board first. A bent pin can cause that and thats a free fix (just be very careful bending it back if that is the cause because i dont know how available that part is or how generic it is)

Hello

Thanks for the tip
The pins are all OK.

I am sure that only one component on the mainboard is defective.
Because I compared the values of the components and they show completely different values than with the other mainboard which is OK.

Best regards
