I remember reading about that unwanted high pitch ringing after release on some piano programs. What do I need to un-check? _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s.

Yes, I saw that tab and I un-checked the resonance box, but I’m still hearing the same thing. It might be part of the program that l’ll just have to live with. Thanks _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |

Another thing to try is to dial down the various sounds in the main SGX-2 Program screen dialogue i.e. Damper Resonance, Damper Noise, Mechanical Noise, and Note Release. Is there a second Exi present on the affected Programs? Also, make sure the Exi Audio Inputs are disabled in Common | Exi Audio Input tab.

Greg, what I am hearing is a high frequency tone that is unpleasant, and just on some of the notes above middle C. It’s not as prevalent in the program mode, but when I copy the program to combi, with effects, it seems to be more prevalent. _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |

Mystery solved! I was copying program “Don’t Stop Believin’ (Int A-20) to a combi. I copied it without effects, but for whatever reason, there was o-verb inserted in the MFX2. The wet/dry ratio was set very high. After adjusting the reverb to a reasonable level, the piano sounds normal. Thanks everyone. _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |
