I remember reading about that unwanted high pitch ringing after release on some piano programs. What do I need to un-check?

Yes, I saw that tab and I un-checked the resonance box, but I’m still hearing the same thing. It might be part of the program that l’ll just have to live with. Thanks

Another thing to try is to dial down the various sounds in the main SGX-2 Program screen dialogue i.e. Damper Resonance, Damper Noise, Mechanical Noise, and Note Release. Is there a second Exi present on the affected Programs? Also, make sure the Exi Audio Inputs are disabled in Common | Exi Audio Input tab.

Greg, what I am hearing is a high frequency tone that is unpleasant, and just on some of the notes above middle C. It’s not as prevalent in the program mode, but when I copy the program to combi, with effects, it seems to be more prevalent.

Mystery solved! I was copying program “Don’t Stop Believin’ (Int A-20) to a combi. I copied it without effects, but for whatever reason, there was o-verb inserted in the MFX2. The wet/dry ratio was set very high. After adjusting the reverb to a reasonable level, the piano sounds normal. Thanks everyone.
