I'd like to know if this is an issue in the Krome EX. I haven't seen a person post this particular problem with the EX version. Asking because I just ordered one today..73 key. |

Great Question! I would love to know the answer for that as well...
I have a Korg Krome 88 (not EX) and I completed the SD Card repair on it with no issues.
The problem is that the old Class 10 4GB Micro SD Card in the unit only transfers data at around 3MB/s, not the 10-12MB/s that a class 10 card should.
What you should do is take apart your EX 73 when you get it to see what type of SD card it uses. if it's the 'SanMax' 4GB card, then you better go ahead and make a backup! If you have a nice SanDisk, or other reputable brand card, then you are probably fine. |

This has just popped up for me, I tried to initialize the unstable keyboard and no luck. So now I have to get an SD micro scan disk type 10? Bought this board a few years back lol can't find my receipts, didn't register it. I trusted the name brand. I, just gonna use the card in my camera screw it man lol. Can I rewrite this file with a MAC? Where Do you see the Image for the Micro SD? |

I was really tempted to buy a Krome EX 73...but after having returned 2 special edition Kromes a few years ago for the same problem(coupled with the fact that Korg could not carealess about it's customers)...I am really on the fence about taking another chance.
I was actually considering a Kurzweil PC4(which is an incredible keyboard for $2,000)...but I always hated Kurzweil's display screens & menu layouts...& I justed happened to stumble upon the existance of the EX.
I love that Korg made the Krome a full 4GB and I love the revised design of it...but until Korg comes up with like a 5 year guarantee,I do not think I will ever feel comfortable buying another Korg. |
