|
|
Hello,
my Pa4 sometimes froze during create playlist? Sometimes come back after some seconds… last time one time after it alone switches off and on?
Does Korg plan a OS update for Pa1000?
Thanks a lot - best regards. _________________ Sorry 4 my English - I only speak Polish & German & really like my Pa5X |

If I understand hints made then both the 1000 and 700 will get updates similar to OS Next. _________________ Biggles

Hopefully, all of the bugs will be worked out before we get the Next upgrade for our respective instruments
I look forward to having a Dark Mode, so to speak, for the screen, but I much prefer being able to change the colors to what would work for me. It is too bad we cannot do that

Interesting article.
One thing that I am disappointed in is that when the new Yamaha SX series was released they are again inferior to the Korg model hence there is not the incentive by Korg to accelerate updates. _________________ Biggles

Still, I think KORG will not stay silent. They must do that. |

Please elaborate!
I know that in the past Yamaha was terrible for user friendliness, don't know if that's true of their higher end arrangers. When checking out arrangers, I didn't even consider one of the Yamahas, not sure why, they just didn't appeal. If nothing else I find the 17" depth off-putting.
So how are the Yamaha arrangers in this price category (PA 700 and 1000). Specifically, how good are the built-in speakers, user friendliness, quality of Sounds, punchiness of drums, quality of Styles, and the corresponding Song Set List?
Without a point of comparison, I'd give the PA 700/1000 a 10/10, just because I'm loving this board so much, it inspires me to play all the time! In every single category listed above it's 9 or 10 out of 10. The only real bummer about this board is the keybed and the extra effort it takes to play as your fingers go towards the fallboard, that gets a 6/10.
So what would you like to see in this OS update? _________________ Keyboards: Kawai ES920 / Casio CT-X5000

Hans,
Thank you, interesting. However it doesn't really answer my question. It's very probable that not many people have played with the latest SX700 and 900, it's just come out. But the questions I posed are also relevant to the Yamaha arrangers that came before it.
In my experience, you've got to play a board yourself, have it for awhile so you can get familiar with the basic operations, and then you have the basis for comparisons.
I'm just so blown away by the quality of sounds and arrangements, as well as the speakers, that I'm wondering if Korg is noticeably better or if I'm just not familiar with the middle range Yamaha arrangers. _________________ Keyboards: Kawai ES920 / Casio CT-X5000

Randelph
If you watch a few of Yamaha’s own tutorials for the SX models they should answer your questions.
