All of a sudden my joystick doesn't do modulation when I push it up.
All the other functions work fine, but when I push it up, instead of modulation it raises the pitch, as if I'd pushed it to the right. It still triggers the leslie effect when appropriate.
I have searched for settings that may have caused this, but with no success.
I have made no changes anywhere recently, and it hasn't been moved. Just one night it worked fine and the next time I turned it on it didn't.
I have not reloaded the OS because I don't really think it would help. Restarting doesn't help.
I'm suspecting a mechanical problem, but want to know if there is something I'm missing before I open the case.
Thanks.

Hi DonM:

I don't think your issue is a SO issue.-
Surelly its a hardware issue.-
You must dissasemble the keyboard and check if any of the six joystick wire is cut or producea false contact.-
The joystick wires are not well attached on all Korg keyboards (PA, Krome, Kronos)
Take a look to these videos to solve it.-

This one is on strange language, but image ara enough ilustrative

Although these videos are about Korg PA600 or pa3x, the joystick is the same.-

Hopping the helps you, with regards
Eduardo

Thank you my friend. I have replaced the joystick on a PA3x and on a previous PA4x, so I know how to open and get to it.
I'm hoping it's a loose connection, as you said.

My user's problem with the pitch bend turned out to be a loose wire issue, so hopefully yours is as simple.
