Hello everyone :]

I'm trying to control Volca Beats via MIDI CC from Evolution UC-33e knobs, connected directly by midicable. UC33 is programmed on proper channel and CC numbers from MI table, but it doesn't work, nothing happened. If I check midi traffic with midiOX, I see that UC33 sending proper data. If I connect it thru the computer [uc33 - interface in - J74 volca control app - interface out - volca], it works right, UC sending, Volca recieving. But I don't want to use the computer for this simple issue..

Have anyone some analogue volca and UC-33 too? Can anyone help or give some tip? :] I'm desperated a bit from this issue Very Happy

Thanks, O.

Have you told the VBeats to receive MIDI short messages? It will ignore all MIDI CC's if you don't tell it to recognise them. Check the manual for how to change the global setting for your Volca.

Isn't it obvious? "If I connect it thru the computer [uc33 - interface in - J74 volca control app - interface out - volca], it works right, UC sending, Volca recieving." I checked it at 1st.

Sorry I misread that and not setting the short message rx is a very common issue. Nice new thread subject btw. You seem like a smart person, I'm sure you'll work it out.

I was using a Volca Drum with a UC-33e last night to feed the VDrum MIDI clock and for some reason it wouldn't pass the pattern restart message along properly. The VDrum would pause instead of stop. Tried a few things but in the end used a different THRU....

Hello again Smile It looks like lost clock reset MIDI msg, or different implementation (I have no experience with Vdrum..). UC-33e can't send proper realtime msgs, nor clock.

Anyway, my problem is gone, I solved it somehow within making advanced MIDI setup to control all my gear...I can't remember what was the trouble, but I think it was bad cable or some electric issue.
