Hi ,
sorry to post on this forum, but PA3X forum is rather quiet.

I had flashing light on standby, so I believe my battery pack was probably dead.

Not worthwhile trying to find a replacement pack, as my keyboard also has the sticky plastic issue.

My standby button , after removing battery , is now alternately flashing red/green when standby is on, or off.

Is that normal, or a sign of other problems?

Thank you.

Hi Rikki
- Sticky problem is natural after 5 years for this bad quality plastics , read my post in relative topic there
and see how you can use clean alcohol and mostly resolve it.
- You can go to an electronics or batteries center with your old battery pack and they can create you a new one
with latest generation batteries with >Ah in low cost.
- Batteries in Pa3X serve a particular only function , to preserve Ram samples for some hours in order Pa3X boot faster.
If batteries are unplugged (also turn off switch there) , the only difference is that booting time with custom samples will
be too long with no other impact in functionallity of your Pa3X.
If you don't use custom/external samples , batteries are not needed at all ...

Hope this helps

Hi Antony,
Thank you so much. I’ve stopped worrying about the sticky plastic, it happened about 15 months ago, and whatever I wiped it with at the time, distorted the plastic. Everything else works..

I don’t really use samples in it, so I decided to take out battery today.

I removed battery, is there some sort of a switch I need to turn off? Didn’t notice anything in the manual.
At the moment standby light flashes red and green, when on or off in Standby mode. Is that normal?

Again thank you for your help.

In memory slot there is a switch that you have to turn off when batteries are unpluged , for Leds indication , do not care at all ...
Without external samples , you do not need battery , get rid of pack , it's risky ...

Also post answer in Pa3X section for other users
