Dumb question.

Is there a way to control overall volume of the Kronos using an expression pedal plugged into the back of the keyboard?

I have used an Ernie Ball volume pedal with my Korg CX3 in the past where the audio out cable from the keyboard was plugged into the pedal and then a plug from the pedal went to the amplifier.

Does Korg make a pedal for this purpose?

The Korg XVP-20 Expression pedal, with the Expression jack connected to the Kronos' Pedal jack using the supplied TRS cable, and the Kronos set in Global to Expression, will do this. Most Programs and Combis will then respond with overall volume changes to pedal movement. The volume of any sound modules/synths conected to the Kronos' MIDI Out will also respond, provided that they have been set to respond to MIDI Control Change messages.

The XVP-20 additionally has jacks for two audio ins and outs, so effectively offers both options. This has the added feature of a minimum volume setting control on the epedal, which does not affect the Expression jack.

While Global->Foot Pedal Assign->Expression CC#11 works for most cases, I suggest using "Master Volume" option assignment to foot pedal instead.
Different kind of pedals may require some calibration or polarity tweaking on pedal side (there is no option for calibration or foot pedal polarity in Kronos OS, only for damper and switch).
