Hi everyone,

I used to own a MK XL+ then sold it then bought a 2ndhand XL cause I missed a few things about it!
I have a few different banks that I used to create my own library but I'm still surprised to see that they are not a lot of options to share and get banks online!
I got the four basic banks from the Korg website but I wish there were more...
For instance, korgpatches.com is down. another one called patches.remixa or something is down too.

Would someone be so nice to share other banks so I and other users could get more banks?
Other thing: the only thing that I'm missing from the XL+ is the Mellotron Flute sound.From what I read online, it should be possible to recreate it on the XL but I... Suck ! Could someone also help me with this?
I see that it's even possible with the original MK (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ME7CnVgJ7fE&t=3s) So it should be ok with the regular XL right?

Hi Jeremy,

A site to share banks would be nice. I agree. I can not help you on this.

I go for your other thing: the mellotron flutes.
The XL+ has the factory program A16 TAPE FLT. It is a program based on a PCM wave inside the XL+. Basically a recording of a tape flute.
The XL unfortunately does not have that PCM sample on board (That is one of the major differences between the XL and XL+: an other PCM waveset).
So, on the XL it really has to be synthesized. Therefore it will sound differently than the A16 program on the XL+.

Ok, it is for the orignal mK, but using that site and the manual of the original mK, you can translate the settings to the mKXL.

I gave it a try myself. If you PM me with your contact info, I can send you the program that you can download to the XL using the editor.
