In OS 2.0 midi files in Cubase can trigger the pa4x styles as if I were physically pressing the keys. So I could have a song with all the parts like verse, chorus., and so on the arranger track and now when I installed OS 3.0 or 3.1.0 it sounds like a mess notes sticking I made sure I had the same midi settings. So I'm going back to 2.0 I think 3.1.0 is not DAW friendly Korg dropped the ball on this update as far as DAW, integration. |

You might want to try loading 2.0, and then writing down all the midi transmission settings, globals etc., then going back to 3.1, and see if anything is different.
This has the sound of something having been changed in the default settings, rather than a major bug in the OS. I may be wrong, but it wouldn’t hurt to check so you don’t find yourself using 2.0 for no good reason… |

The same problem.
In OS1-2 I had my own MIDI settings that worked great. Reliably.
Version 3 when you turn on SONAR, Cubase will make chaos of sounds.
older versions of KORG OS were OK. The problem wasn't.
After the transition to SONG Play to Style play to Sequencer the problem sometimes stops.
Then the instrument and MIDI communication is OK. |

I believe this is not Os's fault but windows Os.
remove your driver while Unplugged Usb from your keyboard, and install the latest driver.
You might have to dig into registry to fix it.
The problem you describe starts while you are into editor or drum edit, right?
Otherwise it sounds ok when daw just playback. _________________

I have no issues using V3.1 to do the same thing with the latest version of ProTools HD Ultimate and the latest korg midi driver. I know Cubase needs the XML to work properly and since V3 adds some new sound presets (not referring to keyboard sets) you may need to update the XML to include the updated presets and the new USER sound and DK banks. I would check that after making sure your midi driver and keyboard midi i/o settings are set properly _________________ Ari Pearl Music

jeffkorg you are right!!! Something is going wrong.
Yesterday usb midi was working ok,but today it wasn't.
So,i plugged my old MIDISPORT4X4 to use the 5pin midi cables hopping that it will work flawless.
But guess what: playback works ok like when using USB connection.
edit mode or record mode on daw causes glitches like you said, like USB connection was working too today.
is it a Windows10 x64 problem or is Pa4x's problem ,or just a setting at global tab that we miss ?
KORG give us a hand here.... _________________

Yes korg1 I tried to install the new update twice and I double-checked and made sure that all of the MIDI settings were the same as the old settings and everything looks good but when I go to play or should I say when I go to record into Cubase or Studio One everything sounds out of whack and I can't figure out why that is but when I go to 2.0 everything works great so Korg needs to look into this something is not right with the MIDI. I like the new GUI but I like to use my pa4x with cubase and studio one so I have to go back to the old until they fix the problem.☹ |
