Does anyone know which piano the name berlin Grand is refering to? Its obvious that Japanese Gran is referring to Yamaha.

I guess it's Bechstein but I'm not sure.

German grand = Hamburg Steinway
Berlin grand = Bechstein
Austrian grand = Bösendorfer
The other two are of course obvious (Yamaha and Fazioli).

I understand their reasoning to name the Pianos what they are, I'm just a little disappointed in the naming. I mean, after all the clever program names we've had, "Mr. Gong," "Stratified," "Blizzard of '93," etc. Why is Hamburger Grande not a thing?

the piano type or name is trade marked. Its a tactic to duck trade mark problems and potential royalties.

This workaround does not seem to be a problem for Korg, Roland etc
