|

Hello all,
I'm new to the Korg family and I'm having a bit of trouble with the Electric EM-1
I have turned off the Global Write Protect and I finally got to where I can work on patterns and songs. The problem is when I press 'WRITE' to write to the pattern, the EM-1 shuts down or restarts. When I power back up, the pattern just plays an electrical hum instead of what I saved.
I tried on A.01, A.02 and it does this. I skipped to B.01 to try there and it still does the shutdown / restart.
Does anyone have any advice or troubleshooting that I can do? I have reset to factory settings multiple times. Can the memory go bad on these things? |

Answering my own question for the people who land here via Google with a similar problem.
I bought it used and the power supply that it came with was insufficient. The old power supply was 9V 350mA. I replaced it with a 9V 900ma and I haven't had a write problem since.
Best of luck! |
