|
|
Has anyone done this successfully? Hoping someone has been successful otherwise there may be a bug in MainStage 3.5.
I have a combi with timbre 1 Timbre Parameter/MIDI set up as follows:
EXT2
16
001
001
This should send a program change message to change to bank 1 program 1 on MIDI ch 16.
On the Mainstage side, I have the concert set up to receive program changes on Ch16 from the KRONOS. I have the preferences setup for the range to be 1...127 per the korg format. I also have a patch set up as bank 1, program 1 in the Patch Inspector/Attributes panel.
It does not work. The only way it works is if I set a mainstage patch to be B1 P1 and set the combi to send the same data. I did notice that in Mainstage's Midi Monitor, it is receiving the following from on Ch16 from the Korg when I select a combi:
Control Change: 0 (Bank MSB) Value:0
Control Change: 32 (Bank LSB) Value:1
Program Change Value:0
Control Change: 7 (Volume) Value:127
Does anybody see any red flags in the data stream? I am curious as to why it is sending Control Change Data instead of Program Change Data and then sending Program Change 0, but they may just be the MIDI nomenclature I am admittedly unfamiliar with.
Sorry this is so long, I wanted to give you all the data I have. Hopefully someone has come up against this or can help me figure out the problem, or if at least the Kronos is sending the right data.
Thank you. |
