|
|
Hello,
Im considerring to buy padkontrol or beatstep pro in near future.
can i activate Padkontrol's 16 pads (or beatstep's 24 pads)
to launch 16(or 24) different chords to any h/w synths ?
For example,
1. assign any chords to padkontrol's 16 pads.
pad 1 : C1-E1-G1
pad 2 : D1-F1-A1
....
pad 16 : B5-D6-F6-G#6
etc.
2. Connect padkontrol to my synth such as Motif XF8.
3. When I push any pads, then my motif plays 16 kinds of chords.
Is it possible?
If no,
I really want to play any h/w synths by pad trigger to play complicated chords,
what should I do?
I already own m3 and kronos and they have internal 8 trigger pads.
But I want to play my motif or other hw synths same way.
and i dont wanna include any notePC to realize.
Only pad + synth I want to use.
Do I need to buy other expensive pad to succeed? _________________ Kronos-2 61, Kurzweil PC3A8, DS-1H, EXP-2,

Neither pad controller will generate chords directly. PADKontrol can do interesting chord play using KordsKontrol software, but that requires a PC.
There was Omnichord, now Q-Chord, though I don't think it's programmable.
Using Kronos pads and Kronos' MIDI out to play the other instruments, is one way of not using a PC. When a nanoPAD2 is plugged into the Kronos, its top row of pads are mapped directly to Kronos' 8 pads. |
