No problems, thank you for making a suggestion and answering.

Fortunately, Kronos is flexible. There is no ' One strict way ' to record.

what works for me, likely would not work for someone else. The creative process is not well understood. For example, when casual listeners are curious, and ask about it, sometimes their eyes glaze over. Then I move along Very Happy

On the other hand, when family/friends visit me and we have a brief recording session, Kronos blows them away. I think most Kronos owners are enthusiastic.

Thinking again about your previous post, I wondered this : since there is no D/A conversion along this process, why should there be a loss of quality during an internal sampling ?

Let’s try to solve the problem

Add fx on the midi track ?

Record midi tracks dry to audio ?

Add fx to new audio tracks later ?

How to keep track of what fx needed per original midi instrument?

M f x. T f x Insert f x ?

Did I lose you on the above?

No, you didn't lose me !! But I don't know how to answer !! There are good questions and answers are not so immediate.

I suppose all depends on the kind of music we do and also how we prefer to work and, finally, on what the gear allows us.

(But what I told before was about the potential loss of S/N ratio. There is no such a loss inside a digital flaw. I believed you spoke of that type of degradation).

Hi, I am not much for discussing theory. But my point about less than stellar audio track quality could be my ' process'

How FX are managed for a song is a big part.
