The PA4X screen looks very good, but I'm a bit worried how solid it is.
In particular the tilting mechanism seems a bit vulnerable to me.

Any experiences?

It operates and seems ok.. but it is a mechanical ratchet type hinge rather than friction, so if something heavy leans on it then its gonna be toast.

SO, i am sure that with the care you would give a $4k instrument, eg just like NOT leaning a Les Paul against a wall, then it will be fine..

ii.however, the good news is that if that is a concern, the visibility while flat is decent.

Thanks for your replies.

I missed that thread, Johnnie, thanks for pointing me in that direction.

I finally had the chance to play a PA4X yesterday and it sounds amazingly good!.
But the screen mechanism... I can't understand why it is made so tiny/vulnerable for a keyboard in this price class.
The screen of the instrument I played didn't close...

They should have used a time tested laptop mechanism. Why reinvent the wheel?
