For iPad / iPhone
Have not played with this yet as its downloading.
Appears to have built in sounds.
NOISE comes with 25 exquisite sounds from acoustic strings to richly layered synthetic effects. Custom-crafted by ROLI’s sound designers, they are all built for Multidimensional Polyphonic Expression (MPE). Each one sounds - and even feels - different on NOISE’s surface. You have hours of exploration ahead of you.

I have used it on my original iPhone 5. So da good but three or four finger chords is all I can pull off with out dropping notes, noticeably. The newer phones should perform much better. I'm to cheap to rich his one until it is unable to do the job. |

I was luck enough to get the rise and it plays nice with it but Inalways have the computer with me so I dont use the app much. I would love a new phone with touch but not for the few things using it yet. Nevertheless it is a good app! |

Just tried this and I can only assume that this App is the polar opposite of their real Keyboards.
Seems like a rather odd thing to release. To go from what I can only assume is an awesome tactile experience to play one their keyboards to having none whatsoever from a touch screen.
I don't get why they would build this.

I thought it was to exploit the latest iPhone's touch pressure. _________________ http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1251 |

I get that, but in order to achieve what is the part I don't get. An App running on a touchscreen which has no tactile response doesn't compare whatsoever to one of their gorgeous keyboards.
It's like they took their keyboards and wrote down on paper a list of everything that was special about it and made an App that delivers not one single item on their list.
I don't get it, but no big deal. It's not for me so I shall simply move on.

Yes maybe. I don't really have the right to complain about a free app anyway.

I grew up in Eastern Europe, we do NOT believe in Free things, everything that is free it actually is Free for a reason, meaning worthless.
After i came to the West i just confirmed my belief even more...so i usually complain or almost never bother with Free. _________________ http://www.basaristudios.com

I think they are trying to target the mobile aspect of the Roli Rise, with that keyboard it is quite mobile. |

The sound packs are not free so they are doing some business from this anyway. Small amount of money but multiplied by thousands ... probably much more than the limited marked for the roli seaboard + rise keywaves. _________________ Leo

If I had the money, time and use for it, I'd buy a big Roli! One is just not in the picture right now. I simply can't see the justification. Even though on a purely artistic level I totally get it! Right now I don't have the band to show it off enough in. _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
