|
|
Hello again dear friends.
Since I used my Pa2x I wished someone to bring a new feature on korg pa arrangers.
Imagine this scenario:
you play one song in style play mode at 130bpm and you want to change to another song ( same style or some style like previous ) without stopping at 140bpm.
On current os if you do that, the bpm is changing instantaneously to 140bpm. I'd like to have a new feature to fade in xx seconds from 130 to 140bpm.
Am I the only one that thinks this is an useful feature to have?
Thanks |

Hello cobay,
you definitely not are the only one that thinks CONTROLLED TEMPO TRANSITIONS would be an useful feature to have, because it would be required by everybody who likes to get precisely matched tempo transitions.
It also would be easy to to achieve in existing software by using two additional parameters in the globals
- without disturbing manual usage of Accelerando/Ritardando and
- without needs of additional controls.
Already existing parameters Accelerando/Ritardando in General Controls lets adjust the speed of this functions. Parameter "Step" let change the speed of tempo change (slower, faster in six steps) and parameter "Curve" allows to experiment with various options, to see the one that fit best for ones taste.
To be advanced with two parameters (maxTempo and minTempo) should not be a big deal for software developers. So triggering Accelerando / Ritardando with assignable buttons will allow to reach automatically pre-defined ending-points of tempo change - and that would be very useful in many situations, in order to enable a controlled tempo transition.
If one do not like that kind of tempo transition, simple would set maxTempo to 360 and minTempo to 40 without to note a new function, that represents a valuable addition to others who wished to get such a feature for tempo transitions. _________________ kind regards

I saw in style record mode that there is a scale page with check-boxes for each style track where you can set sub scale on or off for every style track.
It would be nice to have this option in style play mode for upper tracks, separated check-boxes to set e.g. for uperr1 sub scale on, and for upper 2 off. |

My suggestion:
+ MP3 vocalizer
+ 400 megabytes of RAM to replace and change your route to 1GB memory KORG (Super capacity 1 GB)
+ Combination of MIDI and Audio track in the sequencer song or player.
+ Sequencer: Multi track offer - menu for selection: Upper 1, upper2 ... PAD1, PAD2 .. ACC1, ACC2, drums, bass .... (independent - not mass) |

Important wish list : Option to manually select regions for converting midi to style
I have tried several midi files to convert into style, and result is = useless. It converts but not like song progression goes...
I knew it it couldn't be that smart ,it is impossible to convert midi into good style ,I wish if it could be near but it isn't . _________________ KORG Pa4x-76

As much as its nice to have a wish list I would say most if not all want the Pa4xs software sorting before any consideration is given to other features _________________ Yamaha S90ES, Korg Triton Pro, EXB Moss, Roland XV5080, Korg EX8000, Korg Pa4x 76, Korg Kronos 88, Crumar MOJO, Logic Pro X, V Collection, Novation SL61,Vienna, Korg Pa4x , EC-5, Vienna, Arturia V Collection, Roland SC88 Pro, Roland D110, Alesis SR16, Alesis D4 |

Speaking of new features: a great omission on the PA4X is the absence of a piano roll editor and a proper realtime swing/shuffle quantize feature for both sequencers and for style editing.
Even Kronos doesn't have that, which I just don't understand...
Krome and M3 have the Piano Roll and Track View pages.
Don't understand why those are not on the PA4X by now.
Event Edit is not enough! Feels like being back to 01/W days.
In fact the sequencer is pretty much the same as the 01/W's was
It definitely needs an overhaul!
Piano Roll and a Real-time Swing Quantize would be major upgrades to both PA4X and Kronos's creative potential as far as recording is concerned.
#1 wish for Korg in my book.
After-all they are called WORKSTATIONS for a reason!
You record on those. _________________ PA4X-76 |
