I spotted someone asking after Sharp's Triton Sequencer tutorial. Fortunately I kept a copy of the text and here it is as an HTML document.

Alternatively download it from here : http://www.irishacts.com/support/tutorials/TritonSeqProg.htm

Ahh.. I remember that one. I guess I could have elaborated a bit more on some of the issues.

Could have elaborated more Sharp, but the simplicity of that post meant that I became proficient in programming on the Triton VERY quickly! It's been such an eye-opener just to cop on how important that process (plus the eq-ing) is to the overall 'professional' sound of your track.
Anyway, it's been a real help so thanks.

Very good!
I've been using Sharp's eq-ing and effects tips on my current piece, and it's coming along very nicely. The above sequencing tips should come in very handy, also. I've been taking a longer approach, where I'm not actually bouncing the tracks. The downside of this is that my drums take up a hell of a lot of tracks in the sequencer, and I'm doing a lot of track-by-track copying. The upside is that it's very easy to drop drum parts in and out of the mix.
I'm pretty much already commited to the current method on the piece I'm working on. But I'm going to give Sharp's sequencer tricks a try on the next one just to see if I like the efficiency a little better (it certainly sounds more efficient). |

Hi Daz.
I found and old DVD-RAM backup tonight.
It's not a full backup, but it's 30 more files in the right direction.
I have one white DVD-RAM disk somwhere that I used to use for the old IA. If I can find where the hell that is, we might beable to get back all we lost off the old server.
Regards.
Sharp. |

(bump)
Sorry to bump this - but is this tutorial still available anywhere? It sounds excellent and just the thing to dig me out of my "prod, prod, dig, dig, curse, switch off" rut I'm in right now!!
Cheers!

I noticed the tutorial was posted several years ago and the fact that the links are not valid anymore. I wonder if the tutorial is posted somewhere else! Thanks. |
