Hey Stephen. I'm not sure who is having more fun at your gigs, the band or the people. Smile That's just great. Please give Jody my condolences. I hope she is doing better now.

Cheers,
Susan

It's great that you say that, because FUN is our motto.
We all decided to do this for the fun of it, (Sure, the $ is great also),and that seems to translate well to the audience.
I'm hoping it'll help keep me young.

Hi Sue

It's great to see you back and all the friendly faces again thanks.

I’m afraid we haven’t done a thing since the OSAM, I wanted to do some tidying up but now find after all this time the songs won’t open in Cubase SX anymore, looking on the Cubase forum it’s a common fault, so it looks like I’m in for some messing.

Don’t you just love Steinberg Rolling Eyes

Best

Trev.

Stephen, complacency is the enemy of youth so I don't think you have anything to worry about. Smile

Trevor, I asked someone who uses Cubase for a solution to your problem. It seems that the problem is likely the version 4 since they dropped Direct X Plug Ins. It seems like maybe the solution is to reinstall and earlier SX version that worked and resave the files. If you are using the dongle it should retain the old authorizations.

I use Digital Performer on a Mac so I don't know a thing about Cubase on a PC but maybe this information will help. I can't guarantee this is correct information but it comes from a good source. Smile

I wish you luck and persistence with it because your music is definitely worth saving.

Cheers,
Susan

Hi Sue Smile

Thanks for your help, I’m still on SX3 and won’t be upgrading to Cubase 4, it still seems buggy and none of the new features appeal to me.

I’ve tried the trick of renaming the projects with limited success; if I could just get the midi side up and running I’d be happy.

The only thing I can think of is it’s something I have installed since saving the songs, it could be ASIO4ALL that is causing the problem it will be a pity if it is because my Wami rack runs better using that than its own drivers.

All songs were written using the Wami driver which I default to before trying to load them.

I’ll have a play about when I get me head on and let you know.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Embarassed your help is much appreciated.

Regards

Trev.
