I've been watching the poll and it's interesting to see such a high proportion of folk with this output problem.
But ONLY TEN VOTES! surely there are more Trinity users than this on this group.
Come on... place your votes now.

You know what?! It's just done it to me. Twice in the last 24hrs. Each time both outputs (L+R) conked out as well as the headphone-out - no signal, no nothing, zip, nada.
All cured by a initialisation reset (ie. 0 + ENTER buttons at startup), forcing me to do a full PCG reload afterwards to get it back to its last working state.
Can I change my vote?
PS > just a thought, but if this 'mainly' is an HDR thang (I don't have HDR-TRI), then maybe it might point to the 'SCSI' part of the Trinity (I do have SCSI-TRI) which the HDR-TRI option has also.
My Trinity's crashed a number of times (the screen freezes and goes all gargled with ascii characters) when booting the Trinity up at the same time as booting my PC (both connected to the Zip250 drive via SCSI), so I've learnt to avoid that, but the SCSI does give me gip occasionally (Trinity freeze/lock-ups). |

So we with that said, 6 people out of 11 have experienced the problem.
That got to mean something’s seriously wrong.
If only our Poll gave us some insight as to what is actually causing this problem.
Regards.

Seeing as nearly half the folk here who have the HD+ have experienced the problem should we try and get someone from Korg to give us their side of the story.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Trinity and Korg have always been helpful in the past but if there is a problem we should work together to address it.
I propose to send a letter/e-mail to Korg UK asking them to comment and see what response we get. _________________ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,.. Hey! a repeat! |

Since this is technically a European located website, I’ll send Korg UK and Email.

Hi Sharp,
Did you send a note to Korg to see if they could comment on the output problem? _________________ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,.. Hey! a repeat! |

Hi.
Yes you can still cast a vote.
HDR means Hard Disk Recording.
It’s a board that adds 4 Tracks of HDR, Digital I/O and SCSI.
Regards.
Sharp.
PS: So out of a possible 15 votes we have 8 users who have experienced this. _________________

Hi,
So if nearly half the Trinity owners on this group get this problem it should be brought to Korg's attention. And they should give a reasonable response e.g. how to overcome it.

Well, my theory about this problem being related to moving the Trinity often didn't have a long lifetime, but it holds, for me anyway!! As i've told on an earlier post, i haven't used my Trinity live for the last 2 years since i was using only my WavestationEX with my band. And no output problem.... I got a gig recently for doing the CD launch for an artist on the same label as my band and we did 2 practices in the last 2 weeks and, boom, output problem this morning!!! Maybe it's just my Trinity but it seems if i carry it too much, the problem reappears. But it's well protected since i carry it in flight case. Weird!!!

Wel true -- it does seem that when you loose an output it is most likely that the Trinity has been moved to or from a gig or some other thing. We've all had a go at various internal conectors, and at times have gone 'WaHey' sorted, only to find that the problem comes back.
If indeed the common factor is moving the keyboard, are we looking at a physical conection and not a software thing? Or is it a software thing that occures when the internal baords are given a bit of a jiggle during transit causing a load error when the keyboard is 'rebooted'?
Any views? _________________ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,.. Hey! a repeat! |

Not sure why a system-reset (ENTER + 0 on power-on) would often cure the problem, though? |
