I'm in the process of setting up a Kurzweil K2700 as a Master Controller for my PA4x. I want/need a good 88 note keyboard in addition to the PA4x.The question is "What do you want to accomplish?". In my case I want to be able to send any MIDI CC or PC Command from the K2700 (Kronos in your case) with as little effort as possible as the MIDI will also be going to Ableton Live.
The simplest, most comprehensive means of doing this is placing an iConnectivity MX in the chain so I can send and/or receive any message of any type to or from any system.Below is a link to the tool I'm referring to. I'd recommend reading up on its capability as you'll find you can control things from any MIDI Device in your setup. Most every action on the PA4x can be executed via MIDI. The iConnectivity Mx or Ml will allow you to do things you probably haven't even considered like using a Kronos sound you prefer over the PA4x sound but never had a means of using it.
Currently I use a lot of Guitar Plugins in my styles (channels 9-16) because they're so much more realistic than those on my PA4x. I have some styles which don't use a single PA4x sound, I only use the MIDI to drive it.
