I've taken a bit of time and extracted all the multi-sample (ROM Samples) lists for the named keyboards. The numbers are ...
PA600 561
PA900 835
PA3xLE 838
PA3X 831
PA4x 1427
That's a huge jump for the PA4X. Here's an Excel file I cobbled up so you can compare the multi-sample layout between the keyboards. Should be handy for those of you who want to convert Factory or User Sounds from one machine to another.

You list 11 sounds for Grand Piano, isn't that one sound? Then I went into the Pa4x Manual, found a sound "Hichiriki" and searched for "Hichiriki" -- whatever that is -- and that sound is not in your list -- Excel cannot find it. Can you explain why your list differs from the Manual's .pdf?
Also, the spec blurbs for the Pa4x mention the unit has "over 1500 factory sounds". Who's right? |

There is a difference between Sounds and Samples. Sounds are made from ROM or RAM Samples. This Excel file is a comparison of the ROM Samples across the PA keyboards. If you open the Hichiriki sound in the Sound Editor you would find it is constructed of two layered sound samples, the Shakuhachi and Alto Sax p ... at least on my PA600 it is. _________________ ”It’s easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself.”

would you please record the multi-samples of the pa4x & its waveform data through a good audio interface in high bit rate & depth so we can use them with a software sampler something like kontact? |

Sorry, but that would be patently illegal. Now, if you purchased your own PA4X and record the samples for your own use ...
I see you appear to be pretty new around here. Asking people here to to break copyright laws is a sure fire way to get yourself banned. _________________ ”It’s easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself.”

i thought it's legally possible as the owner is recording the machines soundes via the external output audio ports/jacks and not hacking the entire rom chip to extract the sounds or some secured data
not meant to be illegal! |

1: I do not have a PA4X ... yet.
2: It would be my (or anyone else) giving the samples to you that would be illegal, even if no money is involved.
3: Do you have any idea of the amount of work that would be involved to do this??? _________________ ”It’s easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself.”

Sampling sounds, even from a legally possesed copy -the keyboard is a legal one- IS unauthorised copying and breaks the end user agreement.
Even if you do this for yourself, IS illegal.
The amount of work to sample all the new multisamples is some days at least...
Then adda some days too for next level editing to make them playable... |
